Neha Ahuja, who has been serving as Director, Head of Marketing at Spotify India, has been elevated to Director – Growth, JAPAC, marking a significant step in her career with the music streaming giant.
In her new role, Ahuja will be responsible for driving growth across Japan, Korea, Australia, and Southeast Asia, overseeing the organic expansion of Spotify’s Free and Premium user base. Her mandate spans strategy, marketing, product-market fit, and payments, with a strong focus on data-driven insights, experimentation, and cultural understanding.
Sharing her excitement, Ahuja noted: “In this role, I’ll be leading growth across Japan, Korea, Australia, and Southeast Asia ,helping drive the organic expansion of Free and Premium users. The work spans strategy, marketing, product-market fit, and payments, all guided by data, experimentation, and cultural insight.”
Ahuja began her career with Procter & Gamble, where she rose to Marketing Manager – Oral Care, spearheading both top-line and bottom-line growth while strengthening market share. She then moved to Vodafone, where she was promoted to Vice President – Marketing and Partnerships, leading brand strategy, communications, digital initiatives, and key partnerships.
At Spotify India, Ahuja played a pivotal role in the platform’s market entry and expansion. She worked closely with global and local teams to ensure the right market fit, built Spotify India’s local organisational capability, and spearheaded marketing efforts. Under her leadership, Spotify achieved consistent consumer growth and engagement, becoming a market leader within four years of its launch in India.
With her elevation, Ahuja now takes on a broader mandate, contributing to Spotify’s growth strategy across the JAPAC region, further cementing her reputation as one of the most dynamic marketing leaders in the digital and music streaming space.
